I have seen true evil, and it comes in pill form. In September of 2003, I was prescribed Effexor for mild to moderate depression, and the succeeding events altered my life irrevocably. At the initial posting of this blog, it has been just over four years since I took that particular medication, and I still suffer routinely from the effects of that choice. I hope here to chronicle what has gone before, and to keep a running tab of what continues to be an ongoing struggle to live with a body that has become a peculiar sort of purgatory, all because I once wanted to feel a little more chipper.
I prefer to do this blog anonymously for the time being, mostly because I've already seen in my life how people treat you differently when they find out you were "once crazy." For most people, that's not really a temporary concept, and they're always afraid you'll go crazy again. Seriously, how many people do you know that would hire/be friends with/trust someone who was "once crazy"?
